This is another easy recipe that you can make in about a half an hour. It can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is really good with Dutch Babies.
Ingredients:
3 apples, peeled (I used Jonagold)
1 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tspn cinnamon
Preparation:
- Peel and core the apples and cut each apple into 8 equal sized pieces
- In a pot over medium - low heat, add the apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon
- Partially cover pot with lid
- As apples begin to soften, stir and crush them with a wooden spoon.
- After about 30 to 40 minutes, the apple mixture should have a smooth consistency.
- Serve hot or cold
